+ Information

Carmen Woreth is a visual artist and photographer based in Paris.
A graduate of École de Condé, she develops a practice rooted in intimate narratives and memory, with photography at the core of her artistic research. She approaches the image as a processual tool—of memory and identity exploration—within an autoethnographic framework where personal experience intersects with cultural realities and family heritage.

Working at the intersection of image, material, and narrative, she explores silence, absence, and transmission as forces that shape identity. While her practice is grounded in photography, it extends into multidisciplinary forms, including hybrid printing techniques, installation, and visual experiments that blur the lines between document, archive, and imagination. Through these crossings, she brings forth fragmented narratives that move between the personal and the collective.

Her first photographic book, Story of a Journey, Mexico (2024), reflects on memory, the passage of time, and the fragility of remembrance. Her ongoing series, Les veines de la pierre, continues this investigation by focusing on themes of lineage and invisible inheritances, particularly exploring intergenerational bonds between mother and daughter.

She has participated in several group exhibitions, including at Galerie du Floréal Belleville in Paris and Recyclart in Brussels. Her work has been featured in various publications, including the third edition of Revive Magazine and the Fresh Eyes Talents Book 25’, published by GUP Magazine. Les veines de la pierre was also exhibited at the 5th edition of the Impulse Festival in Arles and at the Liquida Festival in Turin in 2025.
