+ Information

Carmen Woreth is an artist photographer based in Paris. A graduate of École de Condé, she develops a practice centered on intimate narratives, where photography becomes a tool for memory and identity exploration. Her work examines the relationship between materiality, memory, and transmission, using the image as a trace, a fragment of both personal and collective histories.

Her artistic research explores the silences and absences that shape identity, particularly in her first book, Story of a Journey, Mexico (2024), which questions the passage of time and the fragility of memory. Her ongoing series, Les veines de la pierre, delves into family transmission and invisible inheritances, revisiting her maternal history.

Her work has been exhibited in Paris, Brussels and Arles.  Published in various magazines, including Revive Magazine and the Fresh Eyes Talents Book, she continues to develop a practice where the image becomes a bridge between the intimate and the universal, revealing buried memories and fragmented narratives
